Step 3: Test it
Publish an article. Within a few minutes, Kyni will automatically post it to your enabled social platforms.
Manual social posting
You can also post articles manually:
- Go to Content and find your article
- Click Distribute
- Select which platforms to post to
- Kyni will post immediately
Distribution platforms
Kyni can generate distribution posts to backlink-generating platforms like Medium, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Tumblr, WordPress.com, and Blogger. These posts link back to your original article.
How it works
- Distribution posts are separate from your main article
- Each platform gets a custom-formatted post (e.g., infographic for Pinterest, summary for Medium)
- All posts include a canonical link back to your original site
- This drives referral traffic and builds backlinks for SEO
Setup
Connect your distribution accounts:
- Go to Settings → Distribution Accounts
- Click Connect next to each platform
- Authorize Kyni to post on your behalf
Auto-publish to distribution platforms
- Go to Distribution
- Toggle Auto-publish ON for each platform
- When you publish an article, distribution posts automatically go out
Scheduling posts
You can schedule social posts for specific dates and times:
- Go to Distribution
- Click Schedule Post
- Choose platform(s)
- Pick date and time
- Write your message
- Click Schedule
Posts publish automatically at the chosen time.
Engagement and metrics
After posting, you can track engagement:
- LinkedIn: views, comments, shares
- Facebook: likes, comments, shares
- X/Twitter: retweets, likes, replies
- Pinterest: saves, clicks
Check your social dashboard for detailed metrics.
Disconnecting a platform
- Go to Settings → Social Accounts
- Click Disconnect next to the platform
- Kyni will no longer post there
- Your previous posts remain on that platform
Note: You may need to revoke access in that platform’s account settings if you want to fully disconnect.
Troubleshooting
Authorization fails:
- Make sure you’re logged in to the correct account
- Some platforms require additional permissions—check the authorization screen
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting
Posts aren’t going live:
- Check that auto-posting is enabled (toggle should be ON)
- Verify the account connection status is Connected
- Check that your social account allows third-party posting (some business accounts have restrictions)
Can’t see recent posts:
- Social platforms have brief caching delays (usually < 5 minutes)
- Check your platform’s notification settings to ensure posts are visible
- Your followers might not see the post immediately (depends on their feed algorithm)
Medium publication failed:
- Make sure your Medium token is correct
- Medium only allows republishing if you own the article rights
- Check that your Medium account is in good standing
Privacy and access
Kyni only requests permission to:
- Post on your behalf — cannot read DMs or private information
- Read basic profile info — to verify authentication
- Publish to Medium — if enabled
Kyni cannot:
- Access your private accounts or DMs
- Delete posts or account information
- Share credentials with third parties
- Access other apps or services linked to your account
