Social Media & Distribution

Kyni can automatically post your articles to social media and distribute them across publishing platforms, multiplying your reach with minimal effort.

Supported platforms

Social media (auto-posting):

  • Facebook / Meta Pages
  • LinkedIn
  • X (Twitter)
  • Instagram

Distribution platforms (backlink generation):

  • Medium
  • LinkedIn
  • Pinterest
  • Tumblr
  • WordPress.com
  • Blogger

Set up social posting

Step 1: Connect a social account

  1. Go to Settings → Social Accounts in your site
  2. Click Connect next to your desired platform
  3. You’ll be taken to that platform’s login
  4. Authorize Kyni to post on your behalf
  5. You’ll be returned to Kyni with a Connected status

Step 2: Enable auto-posting

  1. Go to Distribution in your site
  2. Toggle Auto-publish to [platform] ON
  3. (Optional) Customize the posting message template:
    • Default: “Check out our latest article: [title] [link]”
    • You can add your own text, but the article link is always included

Step 3: Test it

Publish an article. Within a few minutes, Kyni will automatically post it to your enabled social platforms.

Manual social posting

You can also post articles manually:

  1. Go to Content and find your article
  2. Click Distribute
  3. Select which platforms to post to
  4. Kyni will post immediately

Distribution platforms

Kyni can generate distribution posts to backlink-generating platforms like Medium, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Tumblr, WordPress.com, and Blogger. These posts link back to your original article.

How it works

  • Distribution posts are separate from your main article
  • Each platform gets a custom-formatted post (e.g., infographic for Pinterest, summary for Medium)
  • All posts include a canonical link back to your original site
  • This drives referral traffic and builds backlinks for SEO

Setup

Connect your distribution accounts:

  1. Go to Settings → Distribution Accounts
  2. Click Connect next to each platform
  3. Authorize Kyni to post on your behalf

Auto-publish to distribution platforms

  1. Go to Distribution
  2. Toggle Auto-publish ON for each platform
  3. When you publish an article, distribution posts automatically go out

Scheduling posts

You can schedule social posts for specific dates and times:

  1. Go to Distribution
  2. Click Schedule Post
  3. Choose platform(s)
  4. Pick date and time
  5. Write your message
  6. Click Schedule

Posts publish automatically at the chosen time.

Engagement and metrics

After posting, you can track engagement:

  • LinkedIn: views, comments, shares
  • Facebook: likes, comments, shares
  • X/Twitter: retweets, likes, replies
  • Pinterest: saves, clicks

Check your social dashboard for detailed metrics.

Disconnecting a platform

  1. Go to Settings → Social Accounts
  2. Click Disconnect next to the platform
  3. Kyni will no longer post there
  4. Your previous posts remain on that platform

Note: You may need to revoke access in that platform’s account settings if you want to fully disconnect.

Troubleshooting

Authorization fails:

  • Make sure you’re logged in to the correct account
  • Some platforms require additional permissions—check the authorization screen
  • Try disconnecting and reconnecting

Posts aren’t going live:

  • Check that auto-posting is enabled (toggle should be ON)
  • Verify the account connection status is Connected
  • Check that your social account allows third-party posting (some business accounts have restrictions)

Can’t see recent posts:

  • Social platforms have brief caching delays (usually < 5 minutes)
  • Check your platform’s notification settings to ensure posts are visible
  • Your followers might not see the post immediately (depends on their feed algorithm)

Medium publication failed:

  • Make sure your Medium token is correct
  • Medium only allows republishing if you own the article rights
  • Check that your Medium account is in good standing

Privacy and access

Kyni only requests permission to:

  • Post on your behalf — cannot read DMs or private information
  • Read basic profile info — to verify authentication
  • Publish to Medium — if enabled

Kyni cannot:

  • Access your private accounts or DMs
  • Delete posts or account information
  • Share credentials with third parties
  • Access other apps or services linked to your account

Next steps

  • Set up autopilot to auto-publish articles daily
  • Use scheduling to post at optimal times for your audience
  • Monitor social metrics in your platform dashboards
